While there was no sudden cancellation of HARD Day of the Dead, Escape Psycho Circus was a huge destination for many, attracting the 50k attendees who actually purchased tickets and several others who attempted to get into the festival via other means. Knowing that many videos of the gate crashing had spread about on social media over the weekend, Insomniac CEO and Founder Pasquale Rotella took to social media to address the issue.

In talking about what he wants to improve, he also preemptively announced a bigger, outside tent for Bassrush. While we’re used to these kinds of announcements as an advertisement, Rotella made the promise because of his displeasure with the slow entrance into the stage. Whether or not Escape has competition next year, the festival will be a heavily trafficked destination in 2017. By the sound of it, the two-day affair will run much smoother too.
