A Color Map of the Sun is still as fresh as it was four years ago, but fans of Derek Vincent Smith aren’t going to complain about a new studio album from his Pretty Lights Monicker. The Denver Native talked to the Denver Post about what his ideas were on making the album. He recently spoke with the Denver Post about it, and most excitedly, he told them about a new album to be released in 2017:
“I’m trying to make a film and a record that’s really about the connection of people,” he told the Denver Post, “the amazing things that happen between people on the same frequency. It will be an episodic thing that makes a full piece. Every song has an episode.”
Loads of anticipation has mounted for the release of this new LP as well as the live performance of the songs on it to come. For now, though, we wait
