RL Grime’s new LP Nova is waiting in the wings, but before releasing that he has something special to share: a smart, classy video to his single with Daya, “I Want to Know.” Set by a motel, the video shows off women of different shapes and with several different outfits on dancing around. Daya is seen frequently but still blends in with the ensemble of powerful women displayed in several perspectives throughout. Several music videos of late prove that filmmakers have been more active about empowering women through the images they display in their music videos, and we can only hope this video will drive professionals to make more like it in the future.
