The media has reported that the death of Katie Dix was because of multiple drugs in her system. It seems as though the articles that have reported the news are continuing to report the mortality rate over the last ten years and the negative statistics that come from other festivals (including one death at Beyond Wonderland from last year)…but solutions have yet to be offered other than stopping events altogether. As a respect to the memories of those who paid the price for their actions, work should be done to provide education to those who are going to make the decision to go to events.
