Every year, people are prone to ask what the most frequently played tracks are of whatever festival they frequent; it’s a good way to try and find out what songs define the year in general. The folks over at YourEDM thumbed through every tracklist that 1001 tracklists had to drop from EDC weekend and found the ten most played tracks from the weekend. The predominant winners are from the Basspod, which makes sense considering any Bass Music laden set will throw out nearly twice as many tracks. Some older tracks that still work for the dancefloor trailed near the end, namely GTA and Flosstradumus’s collab with Lil’ Jon Prison Riot. Finally, Losing it by Fisher made it to the list as well, though thankfully, it didn’t feel like it was all over EDC when we went. All in all, these tracks don’t represent the full scope of hits, classics, and IDs that blared over the 13 different speaker systems that hosted the artists, but it’s an interesting sign of 2019’s Dance Music climate.
