Kendrick Lamar opened the 60th Annual Grammy Awards tonight with U2 and Dave Chappelle. Kendrick began with “XXX.” He rapped in front of an American flag display and amid soldiers marching in place. After his verse, the words, “This Is a Satire by Kendrick Lamar” showed on a screen before Bono and the Edge came on stage. Kendrick then did “DNA.” Following that track, Chappelle delivered a line: “The only thing more frightening than watching a black man be honest in America is being an honest black man in America.” Kendrick came back on stage where he did verses from “New Freezer” and “King’s Dead.” Watch below!
