We’re living in a wild world right now, where views on the world are making tensions run high. And now one more kind of crazy thing just got added to that mix. Zedd got banned from China.

Why? For liking a South Park tweet.

Let’s recap what happened:

South Park is a well known animated series that has been around for 23 seasons. It provides commentary in various (including offensive) comedic ways about everything going on in the world today: politics, environmental issues, celebrities, and more. Their recent episode made fun of China as well as United States industries that censor themselves to make money there. Following that episode, South Park itself was banned from China and erased from the restrictive internet over there. They issued what could only be called a satiric apology and aired another episode waving the middle finger to the Chinese Government.

Zedd got caught up in this ban by, of all things, liking a South Park tweet. In an Instagram post, he told his fans that he was permanently banned from China because of it. We’re not sure what tweet and how that all happened, but for Zedd fans, that is one less country that they will be able to see the DJ play. See the post below:
