Mere mortals would be okay with releasing an album and calling it a day. Proving themselves above the typical fold, though, Zed’s Dead have spoken about doing much more than just releasing their latest studio album Northern Lights. The two joke in an interview with YourEDM about feeling as if they had given birth and watched their baby fly away, but in the same conversation they mentioned the existence of more music they haven’t released. When talking about playing out music on tour, they said this in the interview:

…you can see people start to become more and more familiar with the music as the tour goes on and they have had a chance to listen to the album. And of course, on top all this we have a bunch of unreleased music some of which we have been teasing as well.

Your EDM also had the opportunity to talk with them about their live sets

Your EDM: How has having the album out changed your live sets? Do you feel more pressure to play out the newer material at the expense of some of the older stuff? Or do you still find a way to fit it in?

Hooks (Zeds Dead): On this tour we’re playing almost 100% our own music and almost all of the songs on the new album. It feels really great to take people on this journey with the new music and the visuals we have accompanying it.

DC (Zeds Dead): Ya it’s actually been fun to bring back some old tracks for this new show. We have even been revamping some of them just for playing out. Its also been really cool and exciting to play out all the new stuff, you can see people start to become more and more familiar with the music as the tour goes on and they have had a chance to listen to the album. And of course on top all this we have a bunch of unreleased music some of which we have been teasing as well.

Whether the music comes as neatly packaged as an EP or given out as a treat, we’re sure it will hold the quality we’ve come to appreciate from the duo. Check out the full interview on YourEDM.
