Erick Morillo, the international superstar DJ, music producer, and record label owner, has been arrested and charged with sexual battery.
The Colombian-American DJ has a home in Miami Beach where the police said the incident occurred. Back in December, Morillo and his accuser were both DJing at a private party on Star Island. Upon finishing, they went back to his home, along with another woman, to have some after-work drinks.
According to the arrest report, the victim told detectives that Morillo âmade several advances towards her, some sexual in nature, but she refused all of his attempts.â The accuser, who was intoxicated, decided to find a room to sleep in by herself.
She next reported “waking up nude on the bed, with Mr. Morillo standing on the side of the bed also nude.â
While Morillo originally denied the accusations, the accuser got a rape kit done. The results, which came back on Wednesday, tested positive for his DNA. Morillo then turned himself in with his attorney, according to the police report.
