It’s no secret that electronic dance music is popular worldwide, especially in the Asian markets. And one festival is set to capitalize on that opportunity this fall

Announced today, Electric Zoo is setting its eyes for Shanghai this November 12th, as reported by Billboard. The one-day event will be held in partnership with Asian music service company Kanjian and is being billed as “Electric Zoo: Countdown Shanghai.” The festival will feature most of the installments from the 2016 New York edition of the festival, and is expected to feature even more massive production.

“Electric Zoo Countdown is the perfect introduction of our brand to China and will be the stepping stone to bigger editions of Electric Zoo throughout Asia,” says Adam Richman, SVP of Made Event-New York and director of Electric Zoo at SFX Entertainment, Inc.

With more festivals expanding worldwide, you can expect more festivals like EDC, Ultra, and Electric Zoo to step up their game and take over with EDM one show at a time.
