A healthy chunk of the music world knows Flying Lotus as a renaissance man of sorts; he possesses a depth of knowledge about Hip-Hop and the courage to create a genius spin on it, not to mention a grip on the aesthetic and scene that drives the beats.
The producer’s label Brainfeeder will be celebrating all of it’s successes this September 2016 featuring Flying Lotus himself, George Clinton with Funkadelic and Parliament, Thundercat, Shabazz Palaces, and The Gaslamp Killer, with the former being in Oakland’s Fox Theater on Friday, September 16th and the latter taking place at the Hollywood Bowl Saturday, September 17th. While some are heavily considering one or the other, many are planning out the road trip. We’d say the second type of group is making the smart decisions at the moment.
