Virtual Self is an alias that itâs creator, Porter Robinson, did not think would be as widely played as it is right now. In addition to the plays on Annie Mac, his track âGhost Voicesâ has been making the rounds on BBC Radio 1 nearly every single day. This came to the producerâs surprise due to the fact that it was a purely personal project. He took to Twitter to show his appreciation:
from the beginning, i felt like i was making Virtual Self for myself and for a very small group of people. so i can’t tell you how meaningful it is to see Ghost Voices getting played BBC Radio 1 almost every day
thank you @AnnieMac @petetong @mistajam @PhilTaggart @Alicelevine!

Robinson went on to express his hopes to tour in Europe and the UK. At the moment no new dates have been announced, but it doesnât take rocket science to find that the demand is high for him to scale the continent. So far his US fanbase are the lucky ones; Robinson will be playing several festivals including Ultra, Spring Awakening, EDC Las Vegas, Buku, and Bonnaroo.
