We’ve seen several examples of actors who are able to balance a career in front of a camera with a career in the studio. For The Walking Dead’s Chandler Riggs, this balance has been second nature since his first release as Eclipse. Riggs is back with a new single “Endevour” on Steve Aoki’s legendary Dim Mak Records. Released on the label’s eclectic New Noise series, the track evokes a chilling mood with its initial melody before launching the listener into bliss with a Future Bass drop and high flying synths.
“Over the last year and a half, I’ve kickstarted my career as a musician, which has been an incredible journey so far, specifically due to it being much more freedom-oriented creative outlet for me,” Riggs says. “When I open a script, I’m limited to the words on the page, my creativity only pours out of how I say those words- however when I open Ableton, the possibilities are endless. ‘Endeavor’ showcases that endless possibility, and paves the road for my signature sound and future releases under Eclipse, from utilizing massive orchestral pieces and integrating them into electronic music.”
It’s going to be hard to predict when his schedule will clear up to scale the world, but Riggs was just active in the virtual world, DJing the Minecraft “Fire Festival” last year. We know we’ll be stoked to see Eclipse in action at a festival one day.
