Duke Dumont Says His Smash Hit “Ocean Drive” Was Originally Offered to The Weeknd

Duke Dumont and The Weeknd could have been a legendary pairing on a single we’ve all loved for a while. In response to a fan suggesting the two get together, Dumont revealed he already reached out to the artist to work on “Ocean Drive,” but went to Boy Matthews who sung the entire song beautifully.

The song ended up becoming one of Dumon’s most iconic, topping worldwide charts and lasting in numerous DJ sets for the five years its been around. Needless to say, fans were shocked at the news.
