Instead of reposting battle royales at retail locations worldwide, rappers J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar did something a little different. Yesterday each of the artist tweeted in celebration of a holiday with a Soundcloud link to a beat from their own tracks (J. Cole’s “A Tale of 2 Citiez” and Lamar’s “Alright”) with verses from the other rapper. If this is the beginning of the season, we can only imagine what February 2016 will bring.
