We know plenty of stories of DJs having to pay their dues, and the story of this exchange in Twitter isn’t crazily unique, but it is a very important one. Laidback Luke took to Twitter to express his disgust at a club asking a DJ to sell 25 tickets in order to play and upon seeing said DJ’s fear of not being able to play, he told him to refuse to play and go about another method of practice and self development. Though it seems like the harder path, LBL points out the importance of doing what’s right for yourself as an artist and not wasting time.
