A week or so go news of a DJ class turning up a little too much, becoming a 2 AM rager, and getting shut down surfaced. Though a wild occurrence, it certainly made sense. The location for this new impromptu party bust is a bit strange, though.

Chief Inspector Dave Pickett, of Central Area Command, said: “You can clearly see from the pictures that this is a dangerous site for members of the public, nevermind an appropriate party venue.

“It is not an area that is easy to access so if anyone needed the assistance of the emergency services then they would have been in severe trouble.

“We are very lucky that we are not talking about a more serious incident, particularly when you consider that many of those involved were under the influence of alcohol.”

At the mouth of a river in Newcastle, Police found about 200 people partying inside of a sewer. The organizers, supposedly university students, convened all attendees at a pub before the exodus began. Though evidence of the party was found in discarded cups and a makeshift bridge, no arrests have been made.

No reports of serious injuries or deaths were reported, but there was certainly a risk of it considering the location and a number of intoxicated people in attendance.
