Weeks ahead of his forthcoming Inversion album release, London-based DJ/Producer has a special single release entitled ‘The Surface of Revolution’ out for streaming now! The single draws from string instruments from Eastern cultures and provides body-shaking percussion to guide your mind, body and soul throughout the entire track. The song is just one of 9 tracks, where listeners can expect sounds akin to Four Tet, Bonobo, and Emancipator. Emancipator, who has listened to the entire project, went as far to describe Inversion as, “really chill… really fresh.”

Aydio had this to add to the progression and curation of the album:

“It’s just a natural progression of my music inspired by all kinds of music I’ve been listening to for the past few years. I never have anything clear in mind when I’m working on a release – I just see what happens. It does though mark my departure from my safe-space of sticking to the 4/4 time signature with a whole two songs in 6/8 time! CRAZY RIGHT???”

Aydio is the brainchild of Adam Harper, a long time musician, producer, DJ, and visual artist. He’s had his hand at rock, but has consistently fell into a plethora of electronic music primarily trip hop and ambient. His debut album in 2010 established his space in the dance music world and his sophomore album track, ‘Deltitnu’ found itself featured on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Desert Island Discs’. Since then, Aydio has been exploring the realms of afrobeat, techno, and much more.

Inversion is out on July 9th, 2018.
