After playing sold out shows on nearly every continent on the planet in 2017, French DJ and producer Shiba San is returning to the 2018 touring circuit in a massive way, announcing an unprecedented run of residencies (with at least 3 shows confirmed in each city) in 14 major North American cities including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Toronto and more. In addition, he will perform at major music festivals including Groove Cruise, Dirty Bird Campout East, Lollapalooza (Argentina, Chile, Brazil), CRSSD Festival, In Bloom, Shaky Beats, and Bonnaroo, with more set to announce in the coming weeks. His staggering 2018 touring schedule comes on the heels of a number of critically acclaimed releases in the past year, including an effortlessly smooth four-track EP Fearless, a collaboration with the legendary house hero Green Velvet that topped the Beatport Chart at #1 for nearly a full month last fall. Other 2017 successes include his celebrated Whatâs On My Mind EP released on Lee Fossâ Repopulate Mars label, which landed him on the cover of Spotify’s largest electronic playlist, the Clean or Dirty EP on Riva Starrâs Brockwild imprint and his May release, Donât Hate Me on Dirtybird.
Shiba San first entered the scene when his hit record âOkayâ, âchanged the way we listened to musicâ and became the âglobal club sensationâ(Rolling Stone) of 2014. It claimed the No. 1 position on Beatportâs House chart and was put on rotation by BBC Radio 1 tastemakers Pete Tong, Annie Mac and Danny Howard, and won WMCâs award for âBest Underground Trackâ of 2014.
