We’ve seen plenty of spectacle and high production value in the modern days of Dance Music to the point of bing desensitized to it. When Daft Punk went around touring with their setup, though, they turned heads with the full construction, detailed LED and multicolor Displays, and the two helmets they donned onstage. In the clip attached you’ll see them performing a snippet of their Human After All hit, Robot Rock.
“No one had seen anything like that,” Matos recalls. “No one had seen that level of production. Everybody who was in the tent was texting everybody else: ‘You are missing this! This is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen! You’re missing the greatest performance of all time.'”
The other performances…? You’ll just have to watch tonight to see those.
