Avicii’s professional life has been much more stable since he decided to stop touring, but the story of what led to this peace needs to be told. Avicii: True Stories follows the last four years of the producer’s life, including his sudden hospital visit and sudden cancellation of several shows around the world. Avicii himself had this to say about it:

My documentary just got released not long ago… Levan Tsikurishvili, who’s the director of the documentary, has followed me for the past four years I think, four or five years.

He’s had so much material from both in the studio, from behind the scenes on concerts, during good and bad times. I’m really excited. I’m also a bit nervous because it is kind of gritty sometimes. It’s very personal. There’s a lot of ups and downs. It’s going to be interesting to see what people say.

In the clip his Facebook page shared, you see him at the hospital receiving advice on what to do about his condition, then see him in the car talking about his show the next night. He is encouraged to block out 30 minutes to talk to multiple radio shows about how he’s ready to jump back into a bunch of shows in a row, but you can immediately detect that he doesn’t look to be in any condition to make that call.
