Tiësto’s dedication to Avicii at his Kinetic Field set was a lot more than just one song. He seamlessly fit five of the late artist’s biggest tracks into a 12-minute audio-visual tribute. Several images and clips of the artist playing live as well as in his music videos flashed on the screen while Tiesto played “Waiting for Love,” sliding right into his classic instrumental “My Feelings for You.” “Seek Bromance” was next on the list, with the classic Etta James sample from “Levels” leading into the unmistakable chords of the original instrumental itself. In the end, he brought out none other than Aloe Blacc, who asked the audience to bring their lights up and sang a heartfelt performance of ”Wake Me Up.” The short but powerful tribute made Avicii’s presence at the KineticFIELD felt as if he himself were playing.
