The capital of the Netherlands is getting  The World’s Leading Dance Event and a global phenomenon, Sensation, back.

Sensation is an indoor electronic dance music event. It began back in 2000 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and was created by ID&T. ID&T is a Dutch entertainment and medium enterprise that was founded in the early 1990s by Amsterdam natives. The letters of the organization stands for the initials of three founders of the company, Irfan van Ewijk, Duncan Stutterheim, and Theo Lelie.

The original Sensation occurred in the Amsterdam Arena for five years. The first year, it was called Sensation White and it was an all-white party. It sold out the next four years that the event happened, and picked up globally as well. It spread across to five continents and dozens of countries around the world, leading to the global phenomenon it is today. Huge electronic acts such as Swedish House Mafia, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, Carl Cox, Nicky Romero, and Martin Garrix have all performed in the past. It was even nominated for the Best Music Event award.

July 2017 brought what was to be the final Sensation that would be held in Amsterdam. Called The Final, it brought 50,000 for a sold-out event.

That was what we thought was the end of Sensation in Amsterdam. 2020, however, is bringing us Beyond Sensation. Beyond Sensation is the start of a new chapter. The site states that they had a dream, they lived it, and now it is time to go beyond.

You can pre-register here on their site, and tickets go on sale in February 2020. The event will take place on July 4, 2020, at Johan Cruifjj Arena.
