Electronic music trends are constantly changing, but DIRTYBIRD has remained anchored as one of the most beloved and influential forces in the scene for over a decade and a half. Over 15 years, the brand has evolved from its humble beginnings as a small free party in Golden Gate Park to a revered institution whose fun-loving ethos has captivated dance lovers all over the world. Crossing its 2020 milestone, DIRTYBIRD shows no signs of slowing down. In fact quite the opposite, debuting two brand new festivals as it unveils its 15th birthday events calendar.

DIRTYBIRD will launch new festivals on both sides of the country, starting with the third installment of Claude VonStroke’s Birdhouse festival which touches down in LA, May 9-10th, after two years of ruling the roost in Chicago. See VonStroke explore the fringes of house and techno while showcasing some of his favorite pioneers and OGs from the scene in an old school, two-day open-air street fair-themed throwdown in Downtown Los Angeles at Exposition Park. Expect cotton candy, corn dogs, carnival games, and local dance troupes; handpicked by the DIRTYBIRD boss man.

In September, DIRTYBIRD migrates East for its new Florida festival, touching down for Labor Day, and creating a truly unique experience. Taking over an entire resort, CampINN will be the ultimate DIRTYBIRD weekender with fans able to take advantage of resort amenities, party poolside, and late-night with their favorite DIRTYBIRD artists, located just steps from the hotel room to the dancefloor.

The program for 2020 will also be stacked full of returning favorites, with the DIRTYBIRD Players taking over Club Space in Miami for their annual 18+ hour session. The Miami Music Week showcase will also serve as a chance for the Winter Music Conference community to catch cuts from VonStroke’s much-anticipated Freaks & Beaks LP first-hand.

Fittingly, the BBQs, where it all began for DIRTYBIRD, will also return bigger and better than ever with five Birthday celebration dates in the Bay Area, Atlanta, Denver, Brooklyn, and Seattle (this year’s city vote winner). Expect more delectable meats and beats plus outdoor dancing from the DIRTYBIRD collective, as well as epic new surprises on this beloved party tradition.

Finally, get your camping checklist ready for fall, as Dirtybird Campout returns to the West Coast on October 1st, a fitting finale for the label’s packed year of birthday commemoration. No doubt Claude and his fellow Camp Counselors will have something special up their sleeves.

Fifteen years and still going strong. Start your year off right, with Claude VonStroke’s new album Freaks & Beaks and re-live fifteen glorious years of magical memories with the new Jeremy Fish designed coffee table book, DIRTYBIRD, both out February 21st, 2020.
