The legendary producer’s Twitter revealed an intense sneak preview at a gargantuan sphere with yet another set of jaw dropping visuals to come. The video doesn’t show it, but this structure is a whopping two stories high. THat’s not even the thick of it; the magazine reveals these facts:

Eric Prydz’s Holosphere by the numbers

8 meters wide
72 panels
2.4 million LEDs
223 different lengths of LED strips
301 square meters of LED panels
17,840 LED strips
16 millimeter pixel pitch
5 tons of weight
150 individual laser diodes
545 lighting fixtures

Prydz explains in a Verge exclusive: “Ever since we started doing EPIC our goal has always been to try and blow people away, but in a way that they haven’t been blown away before at an electronic dance music event.”

He adds: “Huge confetti cannons and flamethrowers are very primitive. I thought, we can do better than this. We can do something different and more exciting.”

In the interview, they show multiple diagrams and still images of how the structure will look alongside the insane video screen behind it. “Sometimes I wish I was in the crowd,” Prydz says. Check out the full coverage via The Verge.
