Australian breakup producer Fisher is having the best wrap-up to his year ever at the moment thanks to his viral single âLosing It.â Not only was the single nominated for a Grammy, but after 17 weeks of being on the Billboard Dance charts among others, it just officially reached #1. Thereâs certainly no doubt about why; dancefloors around the world felt the infectious bassline of that song since its release this summer. The popularity of his music is now at a point where âFisher DJâ is currently a more popular search than âFisher-Price.â thatâs an accomplishment if you ask us.
Billboard writes, ââLosing Itâ hits No. 1 in its 17th week on the chart. In the history of Dance Club Songs, only two titles have taken longer to lead: Juliet Roberts âCaught in the Middleâ in July 1994 (19 weeks) and Tom Tom Clubâs âWordy Rappinhoodâ/âGenius of Loveâ in January 1982 (18 weeks).â
