The Gorillaz first album since 2011 is tentatively slated to drop sometime in 2017. This morning, the virtual group released the upcoming album’s first song, “Halleljuah Money’ feat. Mercury Prize winner Benjamin Clementine. The release of the song was timed to coincide with tomorrow’s inauguration.

“The band has issued this song on the eve of the Inauguration of President-Elect Donald Trump to serve as commentary on a politically-charged, historical moment,” the song’s YouTube description reads.

The “Hallelujah Money” music video verges on video art. Clementine croons in front of a backdrop slideshow of clips from disparate realms of pop culture. It’s quite conceptual. Watch and let us know what you think.
