A very short time ago, Gorillaz announced their newest album The Now Now with a rather cryptic website of the same name. TheNowNow.TV reveals a very quick clip of the title itself and a groovy new track we’ll likely get in full force when the album drops on June 29th. For those itching for a sneak peek, Boiler Room is offering to stream the band performing their whole album live from Tokyo. On Sunday the 24th, die-hard fans, and interested souls should tune into berm.tv/gorillaz.

The Now Now marks the virtual band’s sixth studio album and will officially be released on June 29th via Parlophone and Warner Bros. The album was first teased through a series of posters found at All Points East Festival and was officially announced two days later. The posters contained phrases and a link to a website, which displayed a short teaser containing a snippet of a new song and the release date of June 29th. On May 31st, two singles from the album, “Humility” and “Lake Zurich”, were released. Later, on June 7th, another single from the album, “Sorcererz”, was released. On June 15th, yet another single from the album, “Fire Flies”, was released. Damon Albarn has described the album as “pretty much just me singing” and “very sort of in the world of 2-D”.
