Insomniac’s Countdown has transformed itself into the ultimate Outer Space experience, cryptic messages, foreign alphabet character combinations, alien emojis and all. Today, the official Twitter account posted additional details to make the festival about as entertaining as any Area 51 raid would be.
The festival map is only the appetizer; fans can head over to the “Mothership,” a megastructure that will be as large as the one at Escape with six heating areas to account for the cold weather bound to take place. The Bassrush arena and Nebula stages will also contain prime heating outside, and Insomniac Records’ Twilight zone will be an indoor shelter from the cold…and impending abductions. In addition to these stages, there will be multiple heating areas distributed across the venue. The treat here is the next series of announcements: from a Retro Sci-Fi Movie Lounge and Live Alien Orchestra at Area 151 to the Blacklight Art exhibition at the Biosphere to Tinfoil Hats and cotton candy at the Galaxy Mall. The attractions don’t even stop at that point, with a load of Fire installations at the Solar Flare Garden…and a “Red Light District: an “Adults Only” area that promises “Live XXX Aliens.” Bitcoin will be accepted in this area, allegedly.
