Space Ibiza is saying farewell to the legendary resident, Carl Cox who has built his empire on the island for the last 15 years. Music Is A Revolution started in 2001, and it’s time to rap everything up in an epic way. Feel nostalgic by listening to his historic Ibiza Essential mix that will go down in history.
This isn’t goodbye, this is “see you later.” Cox has made history on the White Isle and he is nothing short of the best. Cox explains his essential mix:
“The club is closing, one of the reasons being that Pepe Rosello who basically has been running the club for 27 years is turning 80 this year…for me, it’s been just amazing – the club isn’t broken, it doesn’t need to be fixed in any way, shape or form, we’re just basically finishing it off in fine style. It’s been a really big part of my life, being a resident here. I’ve think I’ve been here in Ibiza more than I’ve been at home. I’ve spent more nights here than anywhere else in the world.”
At the end of 2016 the club will be handed over to the Ushuaïa Group, so expect quite a change in the scene. Listen to his Essential Mix here or on the BBC Radio 1 website.
