It would do Skrillex a disservice to say he’s in the studio; in reality, he’s in several studios, potentially more than one or two a day. Fans have been clamoring for a new album since the beginning of the year, but he has done a spectacular job of holding them over with edgy collaborations and remixes in the Dance Music ecosystem while simultaneously molding modern popular music. Today’s “tease” on social media featured the former stream of music, with a 13-second video with Boys Noize:
The two producers’ collaboration Dog Blood was rumored to return early in the year, so we can assume that gritty new synth they concocted above will be inserted into whatever new package of music the two plan on releasing in due time. We’ll keep you posted when announcements on this or that album we know you’re excited for emerges.
