As of the morning of Wednesday, March 11, the coronavirus has officially become a global pandemic, as declared by the World Health Organization. It has spread globally, and every country is reacting differently. Across the world, events and gatherings are being canceled or postponed – from weddings and funerals in Italy to sporting events to festivals and concerts. Many artists are canceling or postponing their tours for the health and safety of their fans.

The Glitch Mob has joined the ranks of those artists, canceling their Drink the Sea X tour. The 36-date North American tour was slated to begin March 26 in Dallas and end May 15 in Seattle, making stops in cities such as Chicago, San Diego, Portland, Detroit, and Brooklyn along the way. The tour was to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of their Drink the Sea album, which was released in 2010.

Today, The Glitch Mob made the announcement that due to coronavirus fears, the tour is being postponed until further notice. Their statement, The Glitch Mob stated did not take the decision lightly. They wanted to keep the safety of their fans as the top priority and do their part to minimize their impact on the already burdened healthcare system.

All tickets to the shows will be refunded at the point of purchase.
