The Dirtybird Birdhouse Festival 2020 Lineup for Los Angeles is here and it has a ton of your favorite artists playing. Read all about it below!

DIRTYBIRD’s southward migration to bring LA its first Birdhouse Festival is quickly approaching, and with it, the flock’s finest selectors. A slew of rare showings join Claude VonStroke this year in KiNK, Roman FlĂŒgel, RebĆ«ke, and Gene Farris—plus a special edition set by Escapade (Walker & Royce and Ardalan), Cour T.’s LA debut, and many more.

In its first years, Birdhouse grew to be one of Chicago’s favorite street fairs. Guests are invited to immerse themselves in a whimsical, landscape peppered with old-school carnival games, cotton candy, corn dogs, and local dance troupes putting their best moves on display. The LA edition, taking place at the centrally located Expo Park, offers double the fun with its expansion to two days.

Claude VonStroke has curated a forward-thinking lineup for Birdhouse LA’s debut that branches from the experimental sonics of Ongaku/Klang/Playhouse co-owner and Campout alum Roman FlĂŒgel, to the classic Chicago flavors served up by house pioneer Gene Farris. Fans can expect a thrilling live performance from the improvisational wizard, KiNK. Ireland’s rising superstar RebĆ«ke, whose DIRTYBIRD single “The Pipe” sat at the top of Radio 1’s Dance Chart for two weeks, will also be joining in the Birdhouse LA fun, along with seventeen-year-old label prodigy Cour T.

Plenty of the label’s close family members have been tapped to help christen Birdhouse LA as well, starting with Walker & Royce and Ardalan performing under their shared Escapade moniker. The formerly made waves in 2019 with their hiatus-breaking Bodies Do The Talking EP and in becoming one of the first artists signed to Diplo’s Higher Ground label, while Ardalan’s debut LP, Mr. Good, reinforced DIRTYBIRD’s position as a cutting edge house imprint. Essential Mix veterans Catz ‘N Dogz and Elrow resident Eddy M top off Birdhouse LA’s international roster. Rising talents Black V Neck, LA hometown hero Jeniluv, and label power-player Wyatt Marshall round out the full bill.

Birdhouse LA offers Southern Californians a first-hand chance to listen to Claude VonStroke’s fourth studio album, Freaks & Beaks. The new album is a celebration of quirky innovation and a relentless pursuit of something new and fresh while harkening back to the freewheeling spirit that inspired the launch of his label.
