Guy Gerber’s Rumors block-party has become an LA tradition, ushering in the start of the summer party season for West Coast residents. Five years ago hosting an underground electronic music block-party in Chinatown seemed crazy, now the party feels like a beloved LA institution, and one of the city’s truly can’t miss events.

Rumors LA’s popularity has continued to surge and with demand for the party growing year on year, who knows what might be next for Rumors LA. But this Spring Gerber welcomes back his brother in arms DJ Harvey to join him for another sunset soiree under the cherry blossoms of Gin Ling Way.

The historical setting, dragon dancers, firecrackers and confetti in the air, make Rumors one of LA’s most singular parties. Combine that with the inimitable pairing of two of dance music’s most of the moment and enduring selectors playing extended sets, with A Club Called Rhonda taking over the excellent cocktail joint General Lee’s and Burger Lords dishing up some of California’s best burgers and its little wonder Rumors LA remains irresistibly unique.

This year, Gerber will extend the party in typically idiosyncratic fashion, taking over the Golden Dragon Dim Sum house for a late-night session with some very special guests. Expect a sweaty low ceilinged conclusion to Rumors, replete with Dim Sum and dancing, a perfect end to a quintessential LA party experience.

Rumors is the brainchild of Guy Gerber, the DJ, and producer, who was inspired to buck trends and try something different several years ago in Ibiza. RUMORS emerged as a clandestine beach party before becoming a global touchpoint for cutting edge underground house music held in far-flung locales. RUMORS have traveled from clifftop locales in Ibiza to Mayan cenotes in Mexico, courtyards in old London town and destinations like Coachella and Art Basel, evolving into a one-of-a-kind party that could only have been conceived by the contrarian imagination of Guy Gerber.

Rumors LA is presented by Future Primitive, Rhonda INTL, and Framework.
