At a time when music and entertainment have been redefined, Travis Scott went to Fortnite. He brought his live show into the game, appearing as a 3D deity in a series of animated concerts. It was during this Fortnite takeover that “The Scotts” was released, a collaboration with Kid Cudi that made it to the number one spot on Billboard.
Quarantine has been creative for Scott. In an interview he had with GQ, he said that he’s been playing around with music. From the interview, he stated, “I feel like I’ve learned so much. I think with this next project I’m just embodying all of the knowledge I’ve taken in and trying to make the best form of it.” This is always exciting news for fans, who have especially turned to music during this pandemic to pull us through.
Scott then revealed that not only had he and Kid Cudi created that single, but that they have been cutting records and working on a joint album together. When he was asked what was in store, he replied, “Man, a lot. Some fireness!” The interviewer at GQ was able to listen to an unnamed track and said it was the craziest thing that Travis Scott had played for him so far. So while we don’t have any release details yet, we know we have something to look forward to.
