Travis Scott has been removed as a performer at Coachella 2022. The rapper had been listed on the bill since the festival’s initial lineup dropped for 2020. He was officially removed following the fallout at his Astroworld festival in Texas and the couple hundred lawsuits and counting that followed. A petition on Change.org that asked to have him removed as a Goldenvoice performer reached 60,000 signatures. It’s unclear exactly how much that petition factored into the decision.

Scott was first announced as a Coachella headliner nearly two years ago, in January of 2020, along with Frank Ocean and Rage Against the Machine. While the festival has been postponed multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Rage and Scott remained on its most recent lineup, with Ocean recently deferring his appearance to 2023. One can assume a new announcement will come next month, when Coachella usually announces their full lineup.
