As the scene continues to grow, more music festival attendees are resorting to less than legal methods to continue their fun. Unfortunately, it ruins the festival for the rest of us, and one festival, in particular, got hit hard this past weekend.
According to police reports, at least 77 people were arrested at Defqon 1 in Sydney. 6 people were also taken to the hospital and 200 people had to be treated as well. While the police’s increased pressure comes as a precaution due an incident last year where an attendee died, it seems like they have prevented any major casualties from taking place.
Meanwhile, the festival is continuing to operate, but the air is thick with tension instead of good vibes.
