The 360-degree stage has always had a high approval rating, but this year’s Nocturnal Wonderland will be taking that concept one step further with their Labyrinth “Black Lit” stage. Featuring an eclectic bass music lineup of artists such as Mat Zo, Pantyraid, Caspa B2B Rusko, Chromeo (Live), Minnesota B2B G Jones, and Giraffage, the stage will be covered in black light paint and essentially illuminate when night falls. The backlight on the stage and performers will create what’s sure to be one of the most radiant stages the promoter has seen. “We wanted to try something a bit different and not use your standard stage materials like trussing and scaffolding, so we instantly knew that [Sky Bridge] would be a great fit at Nocturnal Wonderland,” says Forrest Hunt, Executive Producer of Insomniac Events.

The inspiration for this new 360-degree stage at Nocturnal comes from the Sky Bridge at EDC Las Vegas’ 20th Anniversary, which was topped with bamboo pillars and glowing peaks shaping the foundation of the temple-like installation, where aerialists and acrobatics enticed lounging fans from its center.

“Since the designer of the Sky Bridge had never constructed anything with bamboo this large before, we had to work very closely to marry the bamboo and the other elements that are incorporated into a massive 360-degree stage such as lighting, video, and special effects,” he said. “Once the design was agreed upon, we had the drawings sent off to an engineer to make sure it could withstand weather conditions and heavy objects hanging from the framework.” – Forrest Hunt, Executive Producer of Insomniac Events
