We first encountered the sounds of This Ain’t Bristol during Billy Kenny’s, a fellow labelmate, 2016 Dirtybird Campout set. It was during his late-night AM set, where we heard some outrageous tech-house productions from This Ain’t Bristol. A Bristol-born Wunderkind by the name of Josh Brown was one of those producers included in Kenny’s set that were some melt-your-face-off heaters that had all campers in attendance ooh-ing and ahh-ing with each drop.

Last week, Josh Brown dropped a couple premieres to his forthcoming EP on This Ain’t Bristol. Two tech-house monstrosities and drum’n’bass jungle single are included in Josh Brown’s new EP, each unique in their own way. ‘Gargle’ gets your body gyrating to a rigorous, chainsaw-like bassline to the point that we encourage you to keep your bass face under wraps if you’re outside the dancefloor. ‘Want 2’ wakes you up to an elongated bass horn as your frantically pick you dancing shoes back up to the fast-moving, arpeggiating bassline that follows. Josh finishes up his forthcoming EP with a classic jungle tune, ‘Gully Dub’, where a MC sample big up’s you to through the breaks.

For those who simply can’t wait, the EP is already out on Beatport and will be available everywhere else February 24th!
