From the ashes created by the new regulations on Red Rocks that have forever stopped Bassnectar from performing at the hallowed venue, a new two-day festival took shape. This show created a massive buzz not only for the two consecutive extended sets from the Basshead himself, but for sets from Wu Tang Clan, Flux Pavilion, Porter Robinson, and Lupe Fiasco among many others. Essentially, this was set to be a very loud show.

The volume wasn’t the only issue, though: as explained by CBS local news reporters, there were some complaints from the neighbors who called the board who issued the permit “negligent” for not researching the acts slated to play at the venue. Luckily for fans who want a second Bass Center, the city itself seems to be standing by the warnings already issued that that area is subject to sound bleed from the venue in question.

More to come on the future of events at the venue…for now, though, it looks like smooth sailing.
