Frank Ocean debuted at New York’s newest club night, PrEP+. Taking place at Knockdown Center in Queens, the club night was created in homage to New York’s club scene in the 80’s and 90’s, and what it could have been if PrEP had been invented in that time and the HIV/AIDS epidemic had not wrecked havoc on the queer community. Their press release stated that, “PrEP+ is the first in a series of nights; an ongoing safe space made to bring people together and dance. PrEP+ will welcome globally celebrated DJs. PrEP+ welcomes everyone.”

It was an exclusive event with distributed tickets, and no photos and videos were allowed into the venue. There was also the banning of racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, ableism, and discrimination in any form, and consent was mandated. PrEP+ was created to be a safe space to dance.

Frank Ocean performed to open the club series, and DJed throughout the night, playing what seems to be material from his next release. In addition to Ocean, who was a known performer, Justice came in and debuted a collaboration that they have with him. The French house duo was a surprise headliner. The new tracks played last night were not released, but some people did manage to snag some videos of the notable night.
