Mariah Carey will be making her DJ debut this Saturday at 1 Oak nightclub in Las Vegas’ Mirage hotel and casino. Yes, you read that right! Supporting her on the decks will also be her own tour DJ, DJ Suss One. We’re really not sure what to expect from the famous pop star, but as DJ and dance music culture continue to penetrate the ambiguous lines between genres, we’re sure to expect many other musicians jumping the bandwagon and giving the decks a try. Hopefully, she put’s a little soul into her DJ skills as her live performances, and prove doubters like me wrong. Let’s just hope it doesn’t end up like Kylie Jenner or Kim Kardashian‘s “DJ Debut”.
