Creative drive brought producers MOUNT & Emdey together to recreate a stellar classic, ‘Venus’. The club ready remake pays homage to the 60s anthem with a contemporary twist. If you weren’t screaming the lyrics in your lovely singing voice, you might want to turn your speakers up and give it another listen.
“Creativity for me is the most important aspect of music, in order to constantly redefine myself. I became aware of Marvin’s work (Emdey), while searching for new creative input and people to work with. After numerous conversations we realised relatively quickly, that we were vibing extremely well – personally as well as musically. It was only a matter of time before we began working on our first project. And that’s how ‘Venus’ was being created – the first result, and one out of many ideas.” -Mount
The collaboration also showcases a new direction for both artists of what lies ahead in their respective careers. Emdey (formerly MD Electro) has been producing dance music since the age of 17, catching the attention of veteran producers such as Armin van Burren.
